Welcome to McCann Palm Beach

It is with great pleasure that the Jim McCann Group welcomes you to Palm Beach. Standard Oil tycoon, Henry Flagler, originally discovered the Island in the 1890’s, as he was searching for the perfect location for his next super resort. Navigating his railroad South from St. Augustine, he found a dream destination on this 16 mile long, half-mile wide, barrier island just East of the Florida Peninsula: Palm Beach. The ultra-lux foundations of the Island have contributed to its illustrious history. It’s considered one of the most secure and safe locations in which to live or vacation and many families enjoy year-round residency here.

From its early days, Palm Beach was (and continues to be) a destination where the titans of industry flocked to lose their three-piece suits and neckties. The Town of Palm Beach remains steadfast in preserving its historic structures and architecturally renowned estates such as those crafted by Addison Mizner, Maurice Fatio, Marion Syms Wyeth, John Volk and others. These extraordinary properties, many hidden behind towering hedges and gated drives, continue to be hallmarks of the Island.

Over the past few decades, a new generation of respected architects, builders, and developers are refreshing the landscape with a more contemporary benchmark for luxury, while still maintaining the essence of the exclusivity and charm of Palm Beach. So much so that a blurring of the lines has occurred between Palm Beach & West Palm Beach. With the introduction of “Wall Street South,” many long time Palm Beachers & new residents are establishing roots along the Intercoastal Waterway subdivisions of West Palm Beach. Here, you will find both new and historic family neighborhoods, a bustling downtown corridor, as well as mid-lux and ultra-luxury condominiums. Whether you are visiting, considering a sale, or purchase, we would be delighted to spend time sharing our knowledge of this great area.

The North End has a natural border at the Palm Beach Inlet and extends south to Wells Road. This part of town houses many year-round families in more traditional style neighborhoods. Some streets offer beach access, and three private country clubs are located here: The Sailfish Club, The Palm Beach Country Club, & the Beach Club. Many of the largest direct oceanfront homes on the Island are located in the North End.

In Town

The Town of Palm Beach showcases a harmonious balance of commercial and residential buildings in the heart of the Island. Perhaps most famous for Worth Avenue, with its world renown boutiques and restaurant. Properties are more cottage-like on smaller parcels here, with several estates adorning the ocean and intercoastal. Beautiful condominiums grace both the ocean and lakefront promenades in this part of town.

Estate Section

In the Estate Section of this barrier island the homes are on sizable parcels, many are architecturally significant, and were originally built in the 1920's.

Billionaires Row

At the Southern end of the Town of Palm Beach, Billionaires row gained its namesake from the many revered residents who have, and currently still reside here. Most of the largest parcels of land are located here, with several prominent Ocean to Lake Estates.

Sloans Curve

Navigating South from the natural road curvature at Sloan’s Curve, gracious condominiums line the coveted oceanfront. The town’s only Public golf course can be enjoyed here, as well as public tennis courts, parks, and access to several dining destinations.

The Northern Border of the city has been one of the hot beds of investment since the pandemic. With the Port to the north, these streets are lined with mature trees and modest lots that are adorned with 1920s era homes. Many waterfront parcels have been scooped up by developers seeking to capitalize on the views overlooking the Intercoastal and Palm Beach. A large investment has been pledged by the City to redevelop the waterfront, Curry Park, into a welcoming sanctuary for residents and tourists.

Downtown

Claiming the moniker of “Wall Street South,” the downtown corridor is blossoming with commercial development. One will find condominium buildings and apartment complexes ranging from mid-luxury to the ultra-luxury along the waterfront. Highlights include: The Square, Clematis, Florida Atlantic University, and a new cultural district being dubbed “NORA (North Railroad Avenue).”

El Cid & Historic Corridors

West Palm Beach’s Cultural District is anchored by the Norton Museum of Art. The historic neighborhoods here date back to the 1920s and homes are beautifully preserved for contemporary enjoyment. The business corridor running south along Dixie is primarily occupied by local operators and feature restaurants, boutiques, antique shops, and markets.

South Of Southern

This vibrant, family-oriented neighborhood is bordered by South Blvd, Dixie Highway, the Lake Worth Canal, and the Intercoastal Waterway. Homes along the Eastern border are typically larger and feature sweeping views across the Intercoastal waterway to Palm Beach. The majority of housing is single-family homes and amenities include public parks, restaurants, and a Public School.
